Meals Program: Serving warm and nutritious meals 5 days a week

Lunch: Tuesday through Friday from 12:00pm – 1:30pm

Dinner: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:00pm – 7:00pm

We take care that our meals meet the special health considerations of our members.

Each meal includes a meat or vegetarian (which is often lactose free or vegan) entrée, a starch, vegetable, soup, salad bar, bread, sweet dessert or fresh fruit. All meals are accompanied by our beverage bar, which includes regular and herb teas, regular and decaf coffee, juices and protein shakes made with Ensure Plus.

Dinner Schedule:

Monday: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Full-service sit down meal! Enjoy and evening with other members, get to know new faces and relax over a delicious meal.

Wednesday: Specialty Dinners each Wednesday of the month (everyone is always welcome!) 6:00pm – 7:00pm
First Wednesday: Encounters Dinner for Gay/Bi-sexual men
Second Wednesday: Diversity Dinner
Third Wednesday: Comida Latina
Fourth Wednesday: Women’s Dinner

Thursday: Social nights! 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Comedy nights
Movies nights
Game Nights

Special Meals
Celebration of Life Thanksgiving Dinner
Christmas Dinner – full-course dinner
Passover Seder – traditional Seder dinner held at the BLC

Nutritional Supplements
Can't eat regular meals? Need additional nutrients? Ensure replaces and/or supplements regular meals and is available to those members who qualify.

Nutrition Works
Nutrition Works is a joint effort between the Boston Living Center and The American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay.

The program provides nutritious food and nutrition education to individuals with HIV/AIDS who are also living on a fixed or low income.


Nutrition Works member can access the food pantry twice each month; they receive 7 bags of fresh, high quality groceries each visit.

To qualify a person cannot make more then $992.00 per month (you can add $343.00 for each addition dependant under the age of 18 who lives with you).

Workshops related to HIV and nutrition and individual nutrition consultations are available during food pantry hours.

Amber Hansen, is offering individual nutritional consults on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 - 8:00pm. A consultation can help you set up a healthy eating plan for yourself and family to make sure you are getting the nutrients you need.
